Giving kids a place to go to not only get help with homework/exams but also to help develop the skills needed to enjoy learning, the non-tangibles that I think are so often missed in schools.

What is the most important problem The Space is solving? The Space breaks down the belief system that education isn’t for everyone. Everyone’s education is different.

What is the most important problem The Space solves? Creating a place where students feel like they belong. Once they feel like it’s “their” space they are more open to learning, forming strong relationships with adult role models, and building confidence in themselves.

Why do you choose to be on the board? I choose to be on the board for The Space because I watched how 1:1 academic support transformed my own daughter’s reading skills, and more importantly her confidence.
