Bilingual Scholars
Boost your English skills in a fun, supportive space? Our small-group program for 6th-9th graders makes reading, writing, and speaking easier, clearer, and more fun. You’ll learn in a friendly, supportive space where mistakes are just part of the journey!

The Space supports emerging bilingual students by providing high-quality English language instruction in a welcoming, inclusive small-group setting. The Bilingual Scholars Program allows students to build their language and literacy skills in an environment that creates a sense of community and embraces students’ culture. Students who have both a sense of belonging and strong bilingual skills have the confidence and ability to speak English and to pursue their academic and career goals.

STEM Enrichment
Summer STEM drop-ins are a fun, casual opportunity for students to explore projects related to Art and Science. The Space will offer a new activity each week while providing materials, instructions, and help from our staff. Participating students can make requests for additional activities and will also be part of designing the middle school STEM offerings for the coming year. No sign-up necessary.

Cooking Club
Students will work together to prepare a healthy lunch for The Space’s staff and students. Participants will be in charge of cooking and will also have the opportunity to plan and prep upcoming meals. No sign-up necessary.

Field Trips
Fridays are for exploring! Each week, we’re heading out on a new adventure—some trips will be close to home (biking, swimming, fishing), while others take us further into Idaho’s incredible outdoors (Redfish Lake, Silver Creek Preserve, and more!). Bagged lunches will be provided.

Pickleball
Ready to try something new this summer? Join our Middle School Intro to Pickleball Camp for a fun, fast-paced way to stay active and learn the game! No experience? No problem! We’ll cover the basics—serving, scoring, strategy, and skill-building—all in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting. Drop in any week—come as often as you like!
GOAL
Learn the game of pickleball from local experts in a camp like format, each week will be an opportunity to learn something new and practice your skills to continue improving your game.
